"Torino 1968-Torino 1975. Attimi catturati, fermati, fissati allora, e riportati oggi alla luce. Restituiti a noi che li guardiamo attoniti e sgomenti. Volti, oggetti, luoghi, spazi che narrano di un incontro spesso difficile, anche scontro con una città e i suoi abitanti negli anni della grande immigrazione dal Sud. Gli occhi di un giovane Mauro Raffini si fermano su un mondo a parte, visitano un ‘altrove’ lasciato troppo in ombra, ritraggono volti che ci interrogano sul senso di quella esperienza, di quei viaggi intrapresi alla ricerca di una vita migliore, degna di essere vissuta. Un viaggio di sola andata sovente, come il viaggio di tanti migranti oggi."

"Turin 1968 – Turin 1975. Moments that are caught, framed and frozen in the past, then brought back to light today.

Moments given back to our astonished and dismayed eyes. Faces, objects, places and spaces that tell us about the often difficult encounter/clash between a city and its inhabitants during the great migration from the South.

The eyes of the young Mauro Raffini linger on a world apart, they explore a hidden “elsewhere”. They portrait faces that question the purpose and the meaning of that experience, of those journeys in search of a better worthwhile life.

A one way journey, as it is that one of many migrants nowadays."
